Q1: What is MMS and CET?Where is it valid?
Ans:
The CET (Common Entrance Test) is the entrance test for the two-year full-time Master of Management Studies (MMS)/ Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes conducted by more than 75 institutes affiliated to nine Universities in the state of Maharashtra (India) ONLY. CET scores are NOT valid anywhere else other than the said above ones.
Q2: How is the exam like and what are the other exams that I have to go through ?
Ans:
The CET is of 2 and 1/2 hrs duration with about 200 questions spread over different areas, viz. Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Problem Solving and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, and Visual Reasoning.The test is followed immediately by Group Discussion & Personal Interview. (17 marks each) After the written test and GD/PI , a merit ranking of the candidates based on their performance is put up. Q3: What is the course like?
Ans:
This course follows the syllabus of the Mumbai University. However the syllabus is implemented in a unique way taking into consideration the application research data. The pedagogy builds up skills for cross-functional problem solving and decision-making. An integrated understanding of the business system including the associated risks, crisis and diversities etc are adequately focused. Strong grounding is given on fundamental concepts and techniques so that the program stands on strong footing. This also facilitates a deeper understanding of the business dynamics in this era of information turbulence through the understanding of the linkage between the IT investments and achievements of business plans and goals. The course also helps students to learn how technology and globalization of business dynamics affect firm's competitive positioning and strategic perspectives. Q4: How will be the evaluation like? Which all are given weightages?
Ans:
Students performance is continuously evaluated in a very constructive manner. The evaluation covers academic, extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Suitable cumulative grade points reflect scholastic achievement. Academic evaluation includes surprise tests, presentations, discussions, semester exams, recap sessions, viva voice etc. Participants are also asked to assess, evaluate and make suggestions on all the aspects of the Institute's functioning including Faculty and Management performance
